Dark Peak
In the summer of 2007, Alexander Holden, Nicola Henchly, Craig Newell, Rebecca Foster and Paul Reese planned a weekend of hiking and camping, visiting the aircraft wrecks that cover the Peak District National Park. On the 9th of June, they drove to the Dark Peak and were never seen again.
A 999 call made in the early hours of the 10th signalled the beginning of an extensive police investigation and over the three years that followed they have been able to piece together the sequence of the weekend’s events and, when combined with witness reports and crime scene evidence, it tells the harrowing story of the friends fight for survival.

Dark Peak will be part documentary, part reconstruction and will tell the shocking story of how five people disappeared from one of the most visited areas in the UK. Never before seen evidence will help build a picture of what happened to the hikers and it is hoped the completed film will help bring an end to this baffling case.
